ABIS PRO PRIVACY NOTICE

Abis Proteins Pvt Ltd (“Company”, “Abis Pro”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with registered office at Baldeo Bagh, Rajnandgaon, CIN: U47213CT2023PTC014678. We operate an online platform enabling customers to purchase frozen chicken, meat products, and related food items through our website or mobile application (the “Platform”).
Abis Proteins Pvt Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Abis Foods and Proteins Pvt Ltd. References to “Abis Pro”, “Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us” include, where applicable, our parent company and affiliated entities for purposes consistent with this Privacy Notice.
This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, store, share, and otherwise process personal data of individuals who access or use the Platform, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 (“Rules”).
1. Definitions
a)
Act: Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
b)
Rules: Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.
c)
Data Fiduciary: Entity determining the purpose and means of processing personal data (Abis Proteins Pvt Ltd acts as Data Fiduciary).
d)
Data Principal: Individual to whom the personal data relates.
e)
Personal Data: Any data about an identifiable individual, as defined under the Act.
f)
Processing: Any operation performed on personal data including collection, storage, use, sharing, erasure, etc.
g)
Platform: Website, mobile application, and related digital services operated by Abis Pro.
h)
User: Any person accessing or using the Platform; all Users are Data Principals. References to 'You' or 'Your' refer to the User/Data Principal.
2. Scope of Privacy Notice
This Notice applies to personal data collected or processed in connection with:

Account registration

Browsing and use of the Platform
c)
Order placement and delivery
d)
Payment processing
e)
Customer support interactions
f)
Promotional and marketing communications (including push notifications, SMS, WhatsApp messaging)
g)
Loyalty programs and referral programs
h)
Marketing, advertising, analytics, data security, and fraud prevention
3. Tracking and Analytics
Abis Pro uses third-party service providers and integrations that support the operation, maintenance, security, and improvement of the Platform. These services may perform functions such as analytics and attribution, user account management, customer engagement, push notifications, customer support and ticket management, marketing communications, advertising measurement, and communication record management. These third-party services process personal information only as necessary to provide their respective services on our behalf, for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and in accordance with applicable data protection laws and contractual obligations. We require such service providers to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information and to process it only as authorized by Abis Pro.
4. iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
For iOS users, the system-level ATT prompt is displayed automatically. Regardless of your selection, Abis Pro does not track activity across third-party apps or websites.
5. Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data directly from Users, automatically through interactions with the Platform, and from authorized third-party service providers where necessary for providing our services.
The categories of personal data that may be collected include:

Device type, operating system, browser type, app version, IP address, diagnostic logs

Delivery address and approximate location information where enabled by the User

Queries, complaints, support tickets, call recordings, chat records
Marketing Data
Communication preferences, subscription status, promotional opt-in and opt-out choices
We collect such data:
a)
Directly from Users during registration, ordering, customer support interactions, and participation in promotional activities;
b)
Automatically through the User's interaction with the Platform and associated technologies;
c)
From payment service providers and other authorized service providers to facilitate transactions and service delivery.
6. Purpose of Processing Personal Data
Abis Pro processes personal data for one or more of the following purposes:
a)
Creating, managing, and securing User accounts;
b)
Processing orders, deliveries, cancellations, returns, and refunds;
c)
Processing payments and maintaining transaction records;
d)
Providing customer support and resolving complaints;
e)
Communicating order updates, service notifications, and transactional messages;
f)
Sending promotional, marketing, and engagement communications where consent has been provided;
g)
Managing loyalty, rewards, referral, and promotional programs;
h)
Monitoring Platform performance, analytics, troubleshooting, and service improvements;
i)
Detecting, preventing, and investigating fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized activities;
j)
Complying with legal, regulatory, contractual, tax, accounting, and audit requirements; and
k)
Any other purpose permitted under applicable law.
7. Legal Basis for Processing
Personal data is processed in accordance with the DPDP Act and applicable Rules on the basis of:
a)
Consent provided by the Data Principal under Section 6 of the DPDP Act; and
b)
Legitimate Uses recognized under Section 7 of the DPDP Act, including voluntary provision of personal data by the Data Principal, compliance with legal obligations, responding to medical emergencies, compliance with judicial or regulatory directions, employment-related purposes where applicable, and other uses expressly permitted under applicable law.
8. Consent Management
a)
Users may review, manage, or withdraw consent at any time through account settings, the Data Principal Rights Portal, or by contacting the Grievance Officer.
b)
Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing undertaken prior to such withdrawal. Certain Platform features or services may become unavailable where processing is necessary for providing those services.
c)
Users may opt out of promotional communications through unsubscribe mechanisms provided in such communications or by updating their communication preferences within the Platform.
9. Sharing of Personal Data
a)
Abis Pro may share personal data only to the extent necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.
b)
Third-Party Service Providers
c)
Third-party service providers engaged by Abis Pro act as Data Processors and process personal data only on documented instructions from Abis Pro and subject to contractual confidentiality, security, and data protection obligations.
d)

e)
Payment Service Providers: Razorpay, PayU and other authorized payment processors
f)
Mapping and Location Services: Google Maps

Communication Services: WhatsApp Business API, SMS and email service providers
h)
Parent Company and Affiliates: Aggregated, anonymized, operational, or business-related information may be shared with Abis Foods and Proteins Pvt Ltd and affiliated entities for internal reporting, management, compliance, and operational purposes.
i)
Government and Legal Disclosures: Personal data may be disclosed to government authorities, regulators, law enforcement agencies, courts, statutory bodies, or other authorized entities where required by applicable law or pursuant to a valid legal request.
j)
Cross-Border Transfers: Where personal data is transferred outside India, such transfers shall be undertaken in accordance with the DPDP Act, applicable Rules, and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.
10. Payment Information
a)
Abis Pro does not store any debit card numbers, credit card numbers, CVV details, UPI PINs, net banking passwords, or similar payment authentication credentials.
b)
Such information is processed directly by authorized payment service providers in accordance with applicable banking, payment industry, and regulatory requirements.
11. Data Retention and Account Deletion
a)
Personal data shall be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice or to comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and audit requirements.
b)
Users may request deletion of their account through the Platform settings, Data Principal Rights Portal, or by contacting customer support.
c)
Upon account deletion, prolonged inactivity (180 days), or withdrawal of consent, personal data shall be erased or anonymized within a reasonable period, subject to retention obligations imposed by applicable law.
d)
Customer support records may be retained for up to three years or longer where required by law, litigation, investigations, or audits.
12. User Rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have:
a)
Access: Confirm data processing; details of source, purpose, sharing.
b)
Correction: Request rectification; account identifiers may require verification.
c)
Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request deletion via Rights Portal or support email; processed within 90 days.
d)
Nomination: Appoint a nominee for rights in case of death/incapacity.
e)
Consent Withdrawal: Withdraw consent subject to restrictions.
f)
Grievance Redressal: Submit complaints to the Grievance Officer; unresolved grievances may be escalated to the Data Protection Board.
13. Children’s Personal Data
a)
The Platform is intended only for individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older.
b)
Abis Pro may implement age-gating, verification measures, or other safeguards where required under applicable law to prevent the collection and processing of children's personal data without appropriate authorization.
c)
Abis Pro does not knowingly engage in tracking, behavioural monitoring, profiling, targeted advertising, or marketing directed at children. If we become aware that personal data relating to a child has been collected in violation of applicable law, such data will be deleted or anonymized as soon as reasonably practicable.
14. Changes to Privacy Notice
We may update this Notice to reflect changes in law, business, or technical practices. Updated versions will be published on the Platform.
